Parent’s Guide to the EYFS

From September 2012, all early years practitioners, including childminders, will be following the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance and statutory framework. Whilst it has always been a primary goal to work in partnership with parents, this has now become the main target of the new framework in further recognition that parents are the primary educators and the experts on their children.

As a result, resources are becoming available to make the framework, theories and knowledge about child care more accessible to parents, assisting parents in their journey and making working in partnership more of a reality. I will aim to include as many of these resources as I come across for your ease of use. Please do not hesitate to ask me with any questions or make suggestions as to what else I should include.
